Refection on videos
Today we were able to talk about the construction of what we would like within the video and looked into different styles of videos that we would like to construct for my media product that is realistic to our needs and meets the style of genre that we are aiming for.
For this, we have been looking into PVRIS- St Patrick and Napalm. The reasons that we looked into these two at most as the style of cinematography was simple but effective trough the use of camera lightning and the camera shots between the whole band going into a close up of vocalist leading to a quick cutting of instruments alone being played. However this wasn't always the case in PVRIS. Napalm and other videos such as Tigar Jaw - Hum.
Tigar Jaw - Hum
Even thought we wouldn't think about doing this music video, it still meets the style of pump rock that we are looking for within the product, the things that we would like to implement from this video alone would be how just an normal shot with the use of an disco ball that reflects anon the shot that is being taken. This allows the video to be creative and imaginative to the music of selection, we will find out on a later date of how this would be implemented within the product.
Another thought process that might be good for the style of our music product was the thought of different camera shots for the music video such as:
- Open shots
- Fig Rig
- Tripod stand
- Band playing together
- Single shots of each performer
- Cross cutting of B-roll of environment we are working in.
- Quick Cutting
- Centre alignment of performers
